Coronavirus COVID-19. An Oversight Committee is monitoring the global scenario to ensure personnel safety and daily business operations.

In light of the most recent instructions concerning the spread of Coronavirus COVID-19, the Biesse has enacted a series of measures to guarantee the safety of employees, customers and anyone who interacts with the company, while at the same time ensuring that its offices around the world continue to operate normally.

From the moment when the first cases were reported in the People’s Republic of China, the Group established an Oversight Committee to monitor global directives daily – with complete trust in the national health service, civil protection and relevant authorities – and receive any local safety laws regulating travel to various countries. The Committee ensures that laws are received, in order to guarantee the safety of those who work for and interact with the Group through all its offices, assuring prompt action as the global scenario changes.

“Thanks to our widespread local presence and by working in synergy with our 39 branch offices and the global network of dealers, we will be able to guarantee daily operations and continuous customer support as always”, stated Roberto Selci, Biesse CEO. “The one company approach – through which we enact standardised processes all over the world, making use of shared tools – allows us to serve customers with solutions that are optimal for them and for our personnel at this time, in compliance with the laws that are in effect in each country”.

Aside from the areas subject to restrictions, all of the Group's offices continue to function normally, the showrooms are open as always and responsible behaviours have been adopted to best ensure everyone's safety. The calendar of events and trade shows is constantly updated on the Group's websites.

Where possible, the option of working remotely is being activated, through video conferencing for example, to minimise the need for travel. Any activities that require the presence of people from municipalities in the “red zone” have been suspended until further notice. Every unit and branch office in the group is required to abide by local laws regulating travel to various countries. As far as Italy is concerned, all travel to China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Korea remains suspended.

The Group will continue to communicate the Oversight Committee's decisions pertaining to Coronavirus COVID-19 both internally and externally, preserving total transparency towards all stakeholders. The objective is to guarantee all current activities that involve our customers, while safeguarding the people who work for the Biesse and all those who are part of or interact with the Group globally.
