Biesse participated in the opening of the new Banco Alimentare warehouse in Pesaro

The “Banco Alimentare” fondation inaugurated the new warehouse in Pesaro, a new place for collecting and distributing food. In our Region, the Banco Alimentare Marche Onlus Foundation was born in 1994 with the first collection warehouse in Fano. The San Benedetto del Tronto warehouse was added later. From this year, facing the constantly increasing need, a new warehouse in Pesaro has been inaugurated, to better respond to the logistical and operational needs of food handling.

The event, with the cutting of the ribbon and the blessing of the new location, took place at the presence of the authorities, the media, charitable organizations, partners, companies, volunteers and friends of the foundation. With the occasion, Silvana Della Fornace, who has been working as a volunteer for over 20 years, has been nominated the new President of the association.

The Food Bank distributes hot meals, bread, sweets, fruit and vegetables that would otherwise threw. Biesse collaborates in this laudable initiative donating the meals in excess of the company canteen, an experience of shared charity in the same territory where the company operates.
