The Biesse Group, a leading manufacturer of machinery for the processing of wood, glass, stone and plastic held a very successful gala evening on 16 April at its premises in Pesaro. Innovation is our driving force. This message greeted the guests inside the factory, where, just a few yards from machinery, the tables were arranged, helping them to immediately relate to the world and spirit of the company and its founder. They were welcomed by the voices of Alessandro Greco and radio presenter Cristina Borra which guided them through a story that began in the 1950s, with videos, photos and testimonies.
Minister Maria Elena Boschi visited the company production facility and pointed out, "They didn't tell me about the history, but about the future. Mr Selci and the company's successes are ambassadors of Italy in the world."
"This company breathes so much courage and innovation, it is evident that it is capable of stimulating the economy in our area and looking towards the future."
"This is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate a company that stands out also for its particular focus on investments in research and development."
"Il punto di forza di questa azienda è la grande umiltà del suo fondatore Giancarlo Selci, che ha saputo riconoscere e puntare sulla carta vincente: il capitale umano".
"I see great Italian talent in Biesse. It is important to invest once again in the mechanics industry, returning to manufacturing and rebuilding a great Italian enterprise."
"We were able to transform difficulty into opportunity for growth," said the General Director of Biesse Group, highlighting the 144 million more Euros in turnover and 500 jobs created in the last two years and a debt that has been eliminated. "We want to get even closer to our customers: we have invested a great deal. We are obsessed with covering the territory. All of this is important for further growth."
Two esteemed individuals from Confindustria Pesaro Urbino made the public presentation of the book that tells the history of the Biesse Group, beginning with the life of Giancarlo Selci: General Manager Salvatore Giordano and President Gianfranco Tonti. Both were given the "task" of introducing the publication edited by Giorgio Mondadori: an in-depth look at Giancarlo Selci's way of "doing business", from the days of Benelli Moto up to the latest successes of the "pocket-sized multinational", as Giordano himself defined Biesse.
