Biesse supports Comunità di San Patrignano: a choice of values

This past 24 February the third day of the "Distribution 2.0 Meeting", a new and different dealer meeting meant to "redesign the relationship between Biesse and Distributors, as part of a business renovation project", was held in a unique location: the San Patrignano rehab centre, to foster personal relationships even before professional relationships.

The selection of a place of values like the rehab centre in Emilia Romagna, which welcomes young men and women facing hard times, was driven by Giancarlo Selci's vision of "constantly helping everyone grow and improve in what they're good at", and of pursuing the common goal of recognising the values that unite us. The audience of partners, not just distributors, met in the centre's auditorium in Coriano and was given first-hand exposure to the testimonies of dealers who are exemplary models and who deserve to be imitated for an efficient and effective strategy that increases sales, supported by Biesse with the appropriate tools and resources: CRM specialists, Sales Intelligence, Road Maps, communication, trade shows, events, showrooms and much more. The training programs for the day started with a preview of the experience Biesse will offer at Ligna 2017, presented by Raphaël Prati, Corporate Marketing and Communications Director, and with a speech by Raffaella Alessandroni, Corporate Image Coordinator.

Next Frank Meenderink, sales director for De Groot Bewerkingsmachines, outlined the strategy adopted by his company, focusing on the crucial elements of the strategy: care for the showroom, focus on technical competencies and a constantly pro-active attitude. Training sessions in the auditorium were interrupted for lunch: a moment for enjoyment and a chance to share knowledge and experience. A particularly happy moment was the arrival of the first six graduates from the community, who now hold degrees in Psychology, and the ceremony in which they received their three-year degrees from the Università Telematica Internazionale Uninettuno. Dissertations were discussed at "Sanpa", where the graduates have decided to stay to offer their help, and the degrees were awarded with the participation of the deputy secretary to the Ministry of Education, University and Research, Gabriele Toccafondi; the Dean of Uninettuno, Maria Amata Garito; and the co-founder of Fondazione San Patrignano, Letizia Moratti. Antonio Tinelli, President of the Social Committee for Comunità San Patrignano, was also present. Over the first part of the afternoon Stefano Sarao, Senior Consultant for FranklinCovey, presented "7 habits for managers" sharing how performance can be improved to achieve success.
The day was brought to a close by Federico Broccoli, Subsidiaries Division Director and Wood Division Director/Sales for Biesse, who thanked the strategic partners reminding them of the mission that unites Biesse and its strategic partners: to grow together and become even stronger, with an increasingly 2.0 business mindset.
