Intermac, the division of the Biesse responsible for designing and marketing machinery for working glass, stone and metal processing technologies has signed two preliminary agreements to acquire two Italian companies that are both leaders in their reference sectors.

Intermac reached an agreement to acquire 60% of Movetro s.r.l. and, in joint venture with Donatoni Macchine s.r.l., to purchase Montresor & C. s.r.l..

Movetro s.r.l., based in the province of Padua, has for over fifteen years been a reference point for know-how, quality and design in manufacturing automated systems for storing and handling glass flat panles; it produces classifiers, shuttle storage systems, automated loading machines, loading and tilting machines and specially designed management software.

Montresor & C. s.r.l., based in Villafranca di Verona, is also a market leader in its business segment manufacturing edge polishers machinery with a very strong technological component that is recognised for its superior reliability and quality. With a product offer aimed at those working marble, granite, porcelain and synthetic/advanced materials, Montresor & C. s.r.l. satisfies the requirements of more retail-oriented clients as well as those of larger companies with a stronger focus on highly technological solutions.

The two deals will be emended within the July end and August 2017.

Both acquisitions, whilst having no impact on the financial structure of the Biesse, are highly strategic and will enable Intermac to increase its 4.0 solution product offer in glass and stone ensuring that it is the goto partner for the design and manufacture of special automated and integrated turnkey plant.
