Thanks to the collaboration with Accenture, Biesse has obtained a worldwide recognition at the IOT Solutions World Congress, held from 3 to 5 October 2017 in Barcelona.

The three-day Congress held in Barcelona is the largest event for the IoT Industry, where over 250 professional and sector’s expertise are gathering together to share knowledge, present visions and explain how IoT is affecting many industries such as Manufacturing, Healthcare, Energy & Utilities, Connected Transport, Buildings & Infrastructure, Retail, Agriculture, Mining, Hospitality and more.

The IoT Solutions Gala Award, which took place on 4 October with more than 500 industry leaders, awarded the most innovative projects that have been developed over the course of the year. Introduced by Accenture as a successful case history in the Industrial Transformation, Biesse obtained a global recognition about its willingness to change thanks to the ability to create innovation through integrated solutions that are both sophisticated and easy to use allowing customers to produce more, better and at lower costs.

Industrial IoT transformation builds new revenue streams with Connected Asset Management: Accenture’s Connected Asset Management solution on Microsoft Azure IoT allowed Biesse to access real-time data from the field agents installed on machines in client’s factories. Through in-depth analytics and predictive maintenance based on legacy knowledge, Biesse will be able to reduce labor costs, and improve customer service, expanding their after-market business with new revenue streams.

The SOPHIA platform will be officially launched at Inside Biesse, the annual Open House that will take place from 19 to 21 October at the Campus Biesse in Pesaro: a dedicated press conference and seminars will be held during the first days focussed on the opportunity that the new services platform offers to customers.
